It isn’t an unreasonable expectation that a boat should float, and she did! It wasn’t so much that I was concerned that she wouldn’t float, more that I was very aware that neither hull had seen water in well over a year. And given the repairs that we have already had to do this year a mild amount of concern seemed warranted. However all concern was unnecessary as she floats like a champ, unless both crew members are too far astern, then she gets a little unhappy. But, this is a new type of boat to us so there is going to be a learning curve.
If the adventure hadn’t begun earlier then it just did. The boat is in the water, the New England Parkinson’s Ride is a week away, and various wood working and other creative projects are in the works. With all that going on I can only expect that plenty of exciting things are going to be happening soon!
